ABOUT

I am an anthropologist and visual artist working across film, installation, image and writing. My practice investigates the contemporary conditions of visuality and the worlds they produce. Tracing ways of seeing through technological, economic and cultural histories, my work aims to unpack the discursive and material agency of visual media and the means of their production.

My creative works and collaborations have been shown at exhibitions, festivals and institutions such as Documenta 15, Kassel (DE); Museum of Photography, Berlin (DE); Ars Electronica, Linz (AU); Kunstmuseum Bonn (DE); Frankfurter Kunstverein (DE); Transmediale Vorspiel, Berlin (DE) and others.

I am currently teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig and have held research positions at the University of the Arts Berlin  and New Practice in Art and Technology. I work across the cultural sector in research, strategy, and communications.

I hold an interdisciplinary MA in Design and Computation from the Technical University and University of the Arts Berlin, where I studied under Hito Steyerl, and completed a BA in Cultural Anthropology at Humboldt-University of Berlin and Queen Mary University of London.
